Every now and again, I've seen a posting on a forum about some Kent scenery. Until now, I've assumed it was refering to Kent, England, however, I noticed today, a scenery package for Fort Kent Maine. It's a small route....only about 17-20 miles in length that runs along the Fish River from Kent to Eagle Lake. It's actually becoming a very quick favorite of mine, due to it's size and it's simple layout. Guess it's kind of like my "Piper Cub" of Train Sim scenery. (smile) Here's some info. on the real Fort Kent Station I found interesting. www.nps.gov/maac/planyourvisit/rrstation.htmCheers,

Part of the old Bangor & Aroostock RR, Steve. Many miles of trackage are still there....never pulled up. As is all across the US, Bruce. (smile) I joined the "Rails to Trails Conservancy" a few years back and try to ride as many bike trails as I can. I was planning on riding some of the KATY Trail in Missouri last summer, however, those plans fell through. I'd love to be able to ride the entire route (270 miles) however, I'm quite sure I'll never get around to it. (smile) Rails to Trails Conservancy: www.railstotrails.org/index.htmlFort Kent Maine Trail: www.traillink.com/trailsearch.aspx?city=Fort+Kent&state=MEKATY Trail Home Page: www.bikekatytrail.com/default.aspxThere are some beautiful old bike trails out there....and fortunately, California has an abundance of trails. Last year I didn't ride much....but I'm already gearing up for a banner year this year. (smile) Cheers,
