Okay....I've looked through the manual for TS2014.....I've searched YouTube and haven't found the answer...so perhaps someone here can help me out.
I'm trying to create a scenerio where as I can have an "AI" train work the yard assembling consists, and then my "player" can pick up the assembled consists and take them on down the line.
So far....that part hasn't been a problem...."UNLESS"..... I try to have an "AI" train take a car and have it loaded first. For some reason, I haven't been able to figure out how to get the game to load the empty consist.
Is that not something that can be done? I haven't yet tried a passenger train....but I wouldn't think that would be a problem.....just have the passenger train pull to the station and stop for 20-30 seconds....and then continue.
But the cargo "AI" trains I can get to arrive with the empty container at the correct location....but nothing happens.
Any ideas??
Cheers,

Sorry, Steve....I can't help you as I have never attempted to have the program load an empty freight car.

Thanks Bruce....yeah....I haven't been able to find anywhere that talks about an "AI" train loading an empty car.
SOOOooooo....I just readjusted my scenerio. (smile)
I'm working on a scenerio I call "TOH Gang." (Smile) I have Tom working the port in a tank car, bringing consists up to a siding. I have you taking them up the line. Vin is driving a passenger train.....Roger (U.K.) is bringing a load of empty's back to the port....and Roger (FR) is assembling empty's at the port for Tom to bring to one of the sidings. (smile)
I'm not yet sure where I'll fit in yet....but perhaps take a consist load of empty cattle cars back up the line.
I'll see how it goes....so far I have Tom's route at the port worked out fairly nicely.
One thing I'll need to read up on.......When I assign an "AI" train to go to a certain point and reverse....it appears they have to go all the way to the end before they will start in reverse. I'm not yet sure if I can edit the "cloned" route to put in a stopping point....but it sure wastes a lot of time to have to wait until they get to the end of the siding prior to reversing.
Anyway....I'm finding enough stuff to keep me busy, and I'm having a grand time at it!!
Cheers,

That's an interesting scenario for a Scenario, Steve! All you need is to determine which TOH character will be the Fat Controller! Bruce

All you need is to determine which TOH character will be the Fat Controller! Ahh....Perhaps I could take care of that one. (smile) However, I'd rather like to think of it as "Portly" Cheers,

I did run a scenerio where I got an "AI" train to load a hopper. However, I had 3 hoppers behind, and it loaded only the first and then pulled away.
I thought afterwards, perhaps if I give it 3 directions to load....it would load all 3 first? Hmmm.....might have to try that one out. Doesn't seem that would make much sense, however, I suppose that might work for a small consist. I'd hate to have to supply 45-60 load instructions for one train.

Cheers, Yeah.....you'd think that there must be some command that allows the loading of a complete consist. It's logical.

I guess I need to dig into the editor. This discussion is all above my pay-grade.

Just a thought here, the scenario on the Cajon Pass Route called "A Grand Day Cutting" might be a good one to look at for the loading of several wagon units and then repeats this process three times. I copied it and looked it over, but haven't come to a particular procedure on how to write the scenario, WIP. A Grand Day Cutting

Good info here...however, I haven't had the time to mess with it for a while. I'm currently tied up with moving my parents out to an "Assisted Living" near me, and that has been keeping my plate full lately.
If anyone figures this out....please post.....I'm thinking it has to be possible!!! (smile)
