I'm always very fond of the Steam Engines, however, I do enjoy driving a diesel from time to time. My favorite Diesel has always been the GP-9.........however, I stumbled across the SP GP-20 today. Ahhhh.....now this is good. (smile) The sounds are great....and you can actually couple up 4 engines and control from the lead engine. (smile) Here's a start up.....enjoy!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG8eLIU1jIUHere's another version for starting the second "coupled" unit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjFq6_ng1goI did a nice run this evening with 4 engines and a very heavy train......very enjoyable! Cheers,

Steve, be honest.....you just like the fact that you can fiddle around with switches and settings and stuff. Is that start-up procedure standard for any GP-20 version or just the SP model and is it a stand-alone loco or come with a route? Bruce

I DO like starting the engine Bruce, and really do enjoy the sounds!
The engine is a stand-alone loco....no routes, however, it does come with 2 scenerio's for Donner Pass. I ran one of the scenerio's last evening (about 1.2 hours) and it was nicely done.
It does have an "Auto Sanding" feature and a load reduction system that claims to work. I haven't yet fiddled enough with the engine to see.
Cheers,

Thanks, Steve. Another purchase I may have to make in the future, because I like that sort of detail as well. Bruce
