Here in the Eastern U.S., its approaching midnight on our Thanksgiving day. In Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, it is already the 24th. Two threads have occurred to me today. The first is to give thanks for all the great people I have "met" through this Old Hangar. Some have gone before but it is nice to see a few still stopping by after... DRUM ROLL... 25 years! December 24, 1998 the original Old Hangar opened on the long defunct Flightsimmers.net. FS98 and Golden Wings helped me to recover from a bad spot in my life and managing a website filled my free time and gave me a purpose when I needed one. For that I am also thankful. Next Tuesday I will celebrate my 81st birthday. and for that I am thankful. I can even see my house in the new Flight Sim I am thankful to have lived long enough to see that.
I would love to list all the great people who have touched my life through this place but I would inevitably leave someone out, so I will just say Thank you EVERYONE!

Wonderful words, young Tom. Thank you for creating and managing The Old Hangar. I may not have been a member since its inception but the time that I've spent here has been enjoyable and rewarding. May we all enjoy the next twenty-five!

I doubt that I was with the Old Hangar from the very start, but I was there a long time ago. I had my main FS installation with heaps of add-ons and with separate installs for Golden Wings and Silver Wings. I downloaded reams of paperwork about operating those old propliners and about navigating with just ded reckoning and those old time radio aids Fascinating stuff. Happy days.

Pleased to see Tom, that you and the Hangar are still buggering on, to coin a phrase originally used by Winston Churchill. And may you and it do so for much longer.
