Well, I'm trying, but the (new) Fleet is on hold till I get more information on how the canopy works and on the interior itself. I built this one as the 16b (military) with a post-war civilian extra paint. I might have bitten off more than I can chew. Finding reference material has been tough.

You did send me the "Finch" pic a while ago, Leon. That's the archtypical post-war 16b. It looks like this one has had underwing landing lights installed. The other pics aren't close enough to examine the details of the rail installation. As the canopy was an afterthought on the 16b, it's rather complex, with a confusing array of bolts and bracing. I just don't know the arrangement of it all. Even to fudge it well, I'd need a fair working knowkedge of the parts. I just don't have that now. Also, look at the pic Brian posted with both sections open. I can't believe it was possible to fly in that condition. With the weight of the canopy behind the crew, and the drag of the whole thing, the pilot would have to keep the stick in the panel just to keep from stalling, it would seem. I need to know how the canopy was deployed. I haven't yet seen both sections open in flight. These are the things that drive builders nuts right up to uploading a plane! As Yogi said "It ain't over till it's over!". Hang in there, guys. I hope it'll be worth the wait.

Hello Steve!,I am trying to remember about that old canopy on the Finch,A friend of my fathers restored a Finch back in the early sixties that was fresh from Canada with canopy intact,however he did not re-use it,I am almost sure that only 1 or the other canopy section could be open in flight if I remember correctly after sitting in it as a child?...I am scouring my archives for any info that may help....Best Gil
