Hi everyone. I bought the aeroplane heaven F4U and just got the P-47 both the megapacks. I was wondering if anyone has these and if they are having any issues with them. The first issue I'm having is I can't unlock the tail wheel on either one. The second issue that i'm having is on the P-47 the cockpit will not open but the pilot sticks his head through the glass. Plus even over 150 to 180 mph the P-47 will not come off the ground. Any help would be great! I sent them an e-mail but since they are in australia it might be a while before I hear anything...
thanks Point

well I did talk to them and the cockpit thing was my stupidity, however the P-47D-25 model seems to be having the problem with the tail wheel lock staying... I do have the settings on hard so I'm not sure what to do. They said to let them know which model was doing it so I guess I'll just have to wait and see... Kind of a bummer to spend $40 bucks on something that doesn't work all the way, but it's looking pretty good other than that issue...

Hey Pointman, These aircraft did not have steerable tail wheels, they instead were just castoring tail wheels. This ment that your best bet at turning on the ground consisted of differential braking and added trust...a combination of the two. This is how I accomplish steering in all WWII era fighters and bombers...just as they really are. This may be the reason it feels as if the tail wheel lock is sticking...if the actual control in the cockpit itself is sticking, then disregard everything I just said.

Hey thanks for the reply bomber... Yeah it's the tail wheel lock that is actually stuck. it's only seems to be in the D-25 model. I did talk to aeroplane heaven and they know about it. Are you the same bomber that does all the skins???

Yep, I've done some textures over the past year...I think you can tell that I love the WOP Mustang and AH Corsair. I'm glad the problem has been found...I have both sets too...great packages and made by quality gents too...I wouldn't be suprised if they're working on a patch as we speak.

Ah the modesty of the man ;D
I have most of Bombers repaints...if I don't it's because I don't own the plane ;D

Yeah I have a few of them for the F4U and as a matter of fact the person I talked to through e-mail at Aeroplane Heaven pointed out his skins so that should say something right there! I really like the WoP planes as well. I own all of them and can't wait for the P-47 to be put out... The mustang is great! I keep hearing stories about the CWDT mustangs but if I spend anymore money right now I'll get killed by my other half... I wish they had a demo of them to see if it's worth getting killed over or not... hehehe
