That is most interesting. I have not tried this before, but some of it looks pretty good. Cheers Shad

Hi, I found this at flightsim.com "FS2004 FsSkylight Cirrus Clouds" it reduces the line around the scenery and looks more realistic.

hmmmm... for my eyes I think the standard Silverwings textures are as good as those, especially the low level layer. Doesn't look as though it will be possible to get rid of that sharp line though does it Having said that, the only way might be to do manual weather (which I do mostly anyway as otherwise you nearly always seem to get clear with hardly any cloud), then create a visibility layer and then put in a thin cirrus layer at exactly the upper limit of the layer. That should work. But another problem I find is that if I do a layer of say 20 miles vis from ground to 20000 ft, it doesn't actually start at ground level. Rather it starts from around 50ft or so, so when you pan round in spot view at ground level the bottoms of trees etc are bright and clear and there's then a horizontal line with 'mist' to reduce the vis above it up to the specified upper limit. I've always assumed it's a small program glitch.

Hey - I think this works pretty well. These are taken at Courchevel in Golden Wings. I put in a 20 mile vis layer from ground level up to 5000ft. Here's the 'standard' view I then put in a 500ft thick layer of 8/8 cirrus on top of the vis layer, base 5000 ft but it didn't really work. So I then tried 8/8 stratus. See what you think Just to finish off, a final test showed that there is an empty 'band' at the top of the vis layer just as there is at the bottom (see my comments on 'glitch' above). So you need to put in the 8/8 stratus layer from 200ft below the top of the vis layer eg in the above, from 4800ft to say 5100 of 5200 ft. Then it works a treat - much better than the standard anyway. I shall be doing it in the future definitely.
