If you have the deluxe version with the SDK's you can save and use the mission scenery objects for use in Free Flight.
As much of the scenery objects within a particular mission are not there when flying in Free Flight you can use the Object Placement Tool to save the scenery objects "only" and then compile the saved .xml using the bglcomp.exe.
Drop the compiled .bgl into the Add On Scenery\scenery folder and viola, you'll have the static scenery objects in Free Flight mode.
1.Open FSX and then open the Object Placement Tool 2.Select "Load Mission" and browse to the samples folder in the: \Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\Mission Samples. 3.Select a mission .xml (i.e. Denali.xml) 4.Once loaded select "Save Scenery" , browse to the \Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK and save it with a file name of your choice (i.e. Denali_Base Camp). 5. Compile the .xml

Cool!
That's especially useful for bush pilots who would like to use the Denali scenery.
Thanks for the tip..

Mission objects are in a library bgl called missionobjects.bgl so if you have LOM 2 then you can probably place them yourself also.

Didn't think about that! That's even better. Do I have LOM 2? I think I do... hmm.. Better check, this is going to be useful for some small sceneries in FS-X. Thanks Scruffy, Kobbe
