I have recently replaced my graphic card with a different one. I'm happy to say that it runs the FSX demo very well. How ever in FS9 I am still trying to get the card tuned right. At this point, I am getting good performance from FS9, but I am seeing the waves that hit the shorelines as white boxes (see the picture below.) Perhaps I have something turned off that should be on. Does anyone recognize this problem? My graphic card is a Nvidia Geforce 6800 XT with 256 megs DDR3. I have downloaded and installed the latest Nvidia drivers.

After messing around some more, I decided to try booting up GW3 and see if it did the same thing. As you can see from the picture below, it doesn't. So it's not my graphic card after all. No wonder I couldn't figure it out by changing my graphic driver settings. ;D It may be a corrupt texture. Does anyone know what texture is used?

In the '....\Effects\texture\' folder: 'fx_swoosh.bmp' and 'fx_swoosh2.bmp'. An earlier post regarding the problem. Dave

In the '....\Effects\texture\' folder: 'fx_swoosh.bmp' and 'fx_swoosh2.bmp'. An earlier post regarding the problem. Dave Thanks, that was it. Somehow these two files got deleted. I assume some addon or other was responsible. I had a backup of the Effects folder, so I just copied the two textures back in and everything is working fine now. Thanks again for the help.
