I have noticed in the past week that my anti-aliasing in FS-X and FS9 have slowly decreased in effectiveness. Now, when I load up FS9, the AA isn't even there. The lines are jagged REAL bad. I set Trilinear (And other) AA setting in FS9, double check that my ATI set up is running but it has no effect still. What's happening? Can't seem to find a way to turn AA back on, even though it technically IS on. Thanks, Kobbe (PS: I downloaded new ATI driver, installed and restarted... no luck still)

OK... dang.. Nevermind about that!! Just after posting this I clicked "Temporal AA" in my control panel and walla, it works again. Wonder why it failed in the first place? Oh well, we can delete this post if needed.
STRIKE THAT! It seems that every time I minimize FS9, the AA goofs up when I reopen the window. So, I have to open the control panel and disable then enable the AA thingy. Odd.. I have no clue what's going on here.

Kobbe, You'll have to disable AA in Fs9 and only enable it in your video card's control panel.

Works now (Might mess up later once I think everything is back in order) The jaggeds are more visible than when I had FS9 and ATI anti-aliasing... at least it's not goofing up anymore. thanks Roger

Kobbe,
You do not want to turn on temporal AA unless you cam maintain a steady 60fps... it only works there.
Force your driver to use normal AA and set the level to 2x, 4x, or what ever you like. Anisotropic Filtering can safely be set to 8 on just about any modern vid card.
The reason that the driver reinstall changed things is because its "update" will remove the old driver and settings first and then install the new one. Most often you will have to redo global driver settings.
To overcome this, create a specific Driver Profile for each game, and set up the driver there (this will be in the control panel as well). They should be preserved between upgrades.
Cheers Shad

Thanks Shad, I modified it as you said and it's still working, and looks better than before, so I'm in good shape I think.
