I have seriously been considering purchasing an external hard drive since lately my disk space analysis is showing a BIG blue-berry pie, it would be better if it was rasberry pink. With 10 scenery projects on my computer (And growing) they all easily add up to 9-10 gigabytes, then on top of it all my texture folder in FS9 gets a LOT BIGGER. Haven't made any moves yet to buy anything, but I think it's about time to because of what happened today. I was working away and multi-tasking my computer (To it's limits evidently) when the computer locked up. I did NOT want to lose my 2 hours of work in AFCAD that I coincidently didn't save for those 2 hours. So I fought back and started closing all programs running in the background. Eventually I got down to a blank screen with only AFCAD on it, then it decided to run again.. WHEW.. saved it! So I then rushed to my FS9 folder and started removing old airplanes and sceneries. Now when I try to start FS9 I get an error saying it has encountered a problem and must close. Dang... did I delete something wrong? Checklist for the week [ ] Buy an external hard drive [ ] Save computer from hardware disaster.. ;D Hopefully one of you may be able to help me identify the problem without me having to reinstall FS9... That will be a nightmare... But it would certainly make a nice rasberry pie in my disk space analysis. ;D Thanks, Kobbe

That's not a lot to go on, but chances are you may have deleted an airplane that also included a module without removing the module as well. It could be then that the module is searching for the airplane but not finding it.
Check to make sure no modules were left behind by the airplanes you removed. If you do remove any modules, don't delete them, but rather move them to another folder, so if you accidental remove a critical module, you can put it back.

Try deleting your FS9.cfg and letting FS9 build a new one

I looked around and hid any modules that were not in use. Apparently the problem file was FsPassengers.DLL in the modules folder. Huge sigh of relief... wwwhheewwww Thanks KBR! You saved FS9.. ;D

All this scares me...that's why external hard drives are an insurance for life. I have three (two of 80 gb and one of 250 gb) and backup everything I do, plus hangars and all.
Lesson learned after a crash during last year. Beside, they don't cost too much, if you think how many headaches they save you.
