Hi BW- I had no luck at all in the same situation. I could not find a way to make WinXP recognize an analog controller. I'm going to move this to the fixes, tips & tweaks forum and hope someone else has had better luck.

I use an analogue gameport controller for my CH Yoke and pedals and haven't had any trouble getting windows XP to recognize it. One thing you might want to check is if there is a conflict between a controller on the motherboard. Many motherboards contain a gameport controller whether or not the case has an interface for it on the back. Check in the BIOS under 'onboard devices' and make sure that onboard gameports are disabled as if there are any, they could be requesting the same IRQs that the PCI card wants to use.
If you can't get the gameport to work, you might want to try a 'gameport to usb' adopter. A couple years ago I picked up one from Radio Shack for around 20USD. I use it for my toebrakes, which required a second gameport that I didn't have.

Thanks everyone, No matter what i do , my computer, can not see my yoke and pedals. I do have a usb Logictec extreme 3D Pro I am using, but not the same as a yoke and peddles. I don't understand why my Microsoft sidewinder ganeport joystick works just fine with an usb to gameport adapter, but the yoke dosent. Again thanks for your help
