Went to NVIDIA and downloaded a new set of drivers. Installed and it seems to have helped. Flying down river from Santa Isabel to Barcelos and where I happen to see a small cluster of autogen buildings near the river, I drop down and create a small river scene.

It's your video card sir you should look for a NVIDIA 5500 256mb ram at the least or a 6200 with 128mb or 256mb the new drivers you have will probably work with both (a 6800 256mb if you can find one) I have a 7600gs w 512mb works grate on the other thread you say you are running 400 MZ FSB that is enough why won't the dell accept more ram? i might have a used 6200 256mb that i can let go for 40 or so plus shipping let me know

I was told that my Dell would only take 1gig of ram, 512mb in each slot. Well I put 1gig in each slot giving me 2gig of ram and my computer accepted both of them just fine. So much for Dell.

I've had this kind of thing happen before. For me it turned out to be a mipmap problem.
Try this. Make sure that the mipmap settings in your graphic drivers is set to 'app controlled' or 'bilinear'.
Next make sure that in FS9, that under the display settings on the hardware tab that mip mapping is set to at least 4.
If mip mapping is not set up correctly, you'll get poor quality mips like that on any graphic card.

THis process sounds interesting .. I can get into the NVIDIA Control Panel .... offers three areas ... 3-D, Display, and VIdeo and Television ... I would assume I would go into the "display" area ... what in particular do I adjust?

What do you have your cloud setting set at in FS9? And your water settings?

Anyone with any ideas (other than NEVER, EVER buy a Dell 2350) does my display look like this: Dale Hi Dale, I'm almost sure that it has to do with antialiasing and/or anisotropic filtering settings of your video card.. I had that once, but too long ago to recall what I did exactly. So check your card's control panel. Also remember that FS9 can control antialiasing - and some video cards will give you the option of "application controled" when you're tweaking the card's antialiasing settings; So play with both (card controled/FS9 off - applicaton controled/FS9 on) to see what you get the most performance from. Hope it helps! Joao
