Has anyone ever experienced their simulator becoming so jittery that the airplane bounces on the ground and the frames stick every second or so? If I look at the horizon with no clouds or autogen my simulator decreases to 7 FPS and begins to jitter badly. If I move the camera view so it shows only the ground, it goes away and I get 25 FPS. I wouldn't have expected this from a computer with 3.5 Gigs of RAM, 256 MB graphics card, and 3.0 ghz processor. Any ideas?

When I was using an ATI graphic card, I used to get a problem like this allot (in FS9.) On my system, setting the fps at 20 would solve the problem. Since I changed graphic cards I haven't experience the problem. I am not sure if you are experiencing the same problem, but you might want to give what I did a try just to see.

FS9 or FSX? All Aircraft? some aircraft? one aircraft? All locations? some locations? one location? Cockpit view? Tower view? Spot view? Default scenery? 3rd Party scenery?

The problem is in FS9. My graphics card is an ATI too, so I tried your suggestion with some result. The framerates were more steady around 19 FPS no matter what weather condition, which hasn't been happening lately. The jitterness is still present, but I think it is more due to the fact that my frame rates are low. If I knew what could improve my FPS, I would do it, but I ran out of ideas after buying more RAM and a new graphics card. It'll have to do for now I guess. Thanks for the suggestions
