Good AM..This looks like a nice plane...BUT!..I D/L it,into the FS2004 aircraft directory,it is in FS9 as a folder, however in the select Aircraft in FS9,its a No-Show.I redone the process a few times, same results. As an experiment I installed it in FSX,it shows up,alto with the predictable results,IE,no gauges or sound.Of course any ideas,or help would be most apprecieted Tnanx....Vin

Found this download here of Egholm's 140. If this is the same one, the problem in the aircraft.cfg file. It calls model, panel and texture folders that are not present. ************************ //[fltsim.0] <---comment this whole section out (//) or delete the section//title=Piper Cherokee 140 OY-CSF //sim=piper_pa28_140 //model=csf <----- .csf folders not present, causing the error //panel=csf <----- //sound= //texture=csf <------ //kb_checklists=piperPA28chk //kb_reference= //atc_id=OYCSF //ui_manufacturer=Piper //ui_type=Cherokee 140 //ui_variation=Charlie Sierra Foxtrot //description= The PA28- series includes some of the most successfull aircrafts in private aviation. Vin,
The problem seems to be that the first entry in the PA28-140's aircraft.cfg file refers to a model.csf, texture.csf and panel.csf that are not in the original zip file.
You can get around this by copying the .DHD folders and pasting / renaming them as .csf, or by removing the first entry in the aircraft.cfg file.
The first method works for me in FS9.

Thank you both ...Both fix's will work I'm sure.I did Dave's suggestion, and it worked fine. This" Lil tin can" is a nice version of the Cherokee 140.Looks nice, switches work, flys well, predictable, friendly and an honest plane. Its "Hershey" bar wings won't let you down.Mr. Elgholm did a fine job.Could use more of these in FSX. Again ,Gentleman thanks much! Vin
