Hi all. I’ve been monitoring this forum and reaping the benefits for some time. Thanks to everyone for your wealth of knowledge and your willingness to share it.
Now for my first post…
I downloaded Bill Lyon’s Grumman Goose, cc9gz1f.zip. When I begin a flight all seems to be fine and in working order. However, as soon as the aircraft leaves the ground and I change views, I get a CTD. I’ve searched the sim forums here and at other sites and cannot find a solution that works for my computer. This only happens when I change views and only with this plane. If I leave it in VC view I have no CTD. I have downloaded well over 100 aircraft in the past years and have never had this problem with any of them. I have tried all the suggested fixes I could find.
The CTD reports errors, Machine Check Exception 0x0000009c, 00000004, 80545FF0, 00070f0f
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Run in full screen & windowed mode
Disabled the AM radio as suggested in read me
Adjusted Target Frame Rate from 10 to unlimited & back
Moved most sliders to left and then worked them to the right
Adjusted paging file size from 2046-4092 to system managed
Slashed out // 2D Panel in Panel CFG file
Changed Ultimate Terrain USA to original FS9 scenery
Ran a program called SCANAFD to look for duplicate BGL files, found none
Had an adult beverage or two……..
Reinstalled cc9gz1f.zip
Downloaded and reinstalled Goose CFG file (Mr. Lyons, on another site said that he had mistakenly left it out of initial download at some sites)
Unchecked Render to texture
Unchecked Transform & lighting
Disabled dual monitors
Changed Display Resolution from 1600x1200x32 to 800x600x32
Re-tried several other aircraft, original & downloaded, and all work great.
I just love the Goose and so does my 5 year old Jack, especially the dog of course!
Can anyone help me on what I might be missing?
Thanks,
George
