I'd like to know if there's a way to tune the aircraft.cfg to avoid the main wheels hovering when taxiing, before take off or after touch down?
BTW: Thank you very much Bill and Lynn for your wonderful planes and sceneries, which brought me countless hours of fun.

I fly mainly from the VC and can't see the wheels. Theoretically you could tweak the contact points but I am not good at that. Perhaps a tweaker will have an answer.

Wolfb, This is from the Luscombe: [contact_points] point.0=1, -19.30, 0.00, -1.00, 5000.0, 0, 0.5124, 47.0, 0.47, 2.5, 0.60, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0,0.0 point.1=1, -0.3, -3.5, -5.5, 5968.50, 1, 0.5124, 0.0, 0.7, 2.5, 0.7, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 0.0 point.2=1, -0.3, 3.5, -5.5, 5968.50, 2, 0.5124, 0.0, 0.7, 2.5, 0.6, 0.0, 0.0, 2.0, 0.0, 0.0 point.0 is the tail wheel point.1 is the port main point.2 is the starboard main 1st parameter is Class: 1 means "wheel" 2nd parameter is Longitudinal position (from the defined reference point of the model) 3rd parameter is Lateral position: positive value means starboard. 4th parameter is Vertical position - this is what you'll want to change. I think you can leave FS9 running, edit the aircraft.cfg and then simply reload the aircraft. Before you go changing them, though, make a backup ;D and try the Luscombe with various load settings. Because you can lower the wheels just to find that at max gross weight they'll sunk into the floor Hope it helps Joao

tom : I am also flying from VC (with TrackIR), and the Luscombe's is one of the best I have seen. But also do I love to watch replays from tower or spot view and found the hovering wheels somewhat annoying. @joao: Thanks for the hint, I'll give it a shot.
