Thank you Bill for the great aircraft!
I have a couple of questions about flying the Tripacer. I know it is a simple aircraft, so I hope I'm not trying to make it too complicated.
1. What are the speeds at which flaps can be deployed?
2. How is 75% power set?
3. On approach, in order to get 60 mph glide with full flaps, I have MP at about 10 and the nose is slightly up, making me need to raise my seat to see the runway over the nose while on final approach. Does this sound right?
4. Just a general question: Is the Tripacer an appropriate aircraft for bush-type flying?
5. It seems that cargo shows only in the amphibian versions. Is there a way to have cargo in the standard wheels version?
Thanks for any help!
Randall

I use it for bush flying, it sure seems like a good plane for it.

1. What are the speeds at which flaps can be deployed? Full specs here: pad39a.com/gene/spec2.htmlThe sim model should be close to those numbers Different set of specs www.angelfire.com/ne/swpc/tripacer.htmlI apply one notch of flaps at approx 70mph on approach but I don't know if that is correct, it works for me Not to be a wise guy but I use the throttle. Seriously, if it is 100% fully in and I pull it out 25% I am guessing I will be around 75% throttle. I have a CH Yoke so it is quite visual. Normally I do most of my final with the nose pushed down so I can see. With full flaps I can fly down to the runway at about 55-60mph, then about 50-60 ft off the deck I let the plane level out and full flaps slows me to stall speed. If I do it right, wheels are down before the stall warning. Yes but not my first choice. I prefer tail draggers for unimproved fields No, the cargo model is only available as an amphibian.

I know this is an FS98 plane, but check out the Boeing YL-15 by Dennis Simanaitis. I think this is the best Bush plane ever. My version that was never finished.....
