Hi Gang..
I hate to come into this forum with a problem, but here it is. I have not been able to get Bill's Tiger Moth or Luscomb to work on my computer. When I start to take off the sound begins to stutter and then the computer crashes. Not just FS, but the whole computer. A few other addon aircraft, but not most, also do this. In most cases I would just discard the aircraft, but I HATE to do that with Bill's. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Kofi..
I used the self-installer (LuscInstall.exe). The missing textures in the fix file were added in later.

Hmmm...This will be difficult for me to help you with because I purchased mine when it was payware, and the payware install is just a bit different....
Try and check to see if your PANEL.CFG file is referencing some files in a path that doesn't exist or is incorrect.

I don't see any paths specified in the panel.cfg. The panel seems to work OK before the crash takes place. I suspect that the problem is specific to my computer. The Tiger Moth and several other aircraft worked perfectly on my old computer but caused the new one to crash. Maybe the video card is the problem. This computer has a NVIDIA GeForce PCX 5300, which is not what is on the old one. Anyhow, I had hoped this was a simple problem that others on the forum might have experienced but since it is not I'll have to just work at it until I trace it down. Or give up on those nice Lynn & Bill Lyons aircraft, a sad alternative.
Thanks for your help Kofi.

I would suspect that the problem might be sound related with your new computer. Try swapping the sound folder with another plane and see if it works ok, Bill

Swapping the sound folder seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the suggestion Bill. Dave

While I have had no problems with my primary flight sim computer, I always back-up everything on an older computer. Last night, I substituted another sound folder and presto!!! no CTDs. Thanks Bill... Randy
