Could someone tell me how to increase the fuel consumption of the Tripacer? I just flew for 4.8 hours and only used 1/4 of my fuel, covering more than 650 miles. (Medford, Oregon to just past Las Vegas, with a touch and go in Death Valley.) I would like to adjust the fuel burn to something closer to reality. Thanks!

Try experimenting with the fuel_flow_scalar setting in this section of the aircraft.cfg
[GeneralEngineData] engine_type=0 Engine.0=1.400000,0.000000,0.000000 fuel_flow_scalar=0.350000 min_throttle_limit=0.000000

After experimenting with the fuel_flow_scalar, I found that a setting of 1.52 gave 463 nm range at 7,500 ft. This is just over 530 statute miles.
My time enroute was 3.8 hours, which is somewhat close to the brochure value.
It may not be exact, but it's close enough for me.

Coincidently, I spent yesterday resetting the fuel flow scalar on all the airplanes I routinely fly. The quick and dirty method is trim the airplane in cruise and note the fuel used over a six minute period via the Airplane/Fuel and Payload dropdown. Multiply that value by 10 to obtain the fuel consumed per hour. Compare this to the "book" value. Divide actual fuel flow by book value and put that number into the fuel_flow_scalar. Retest. My results came out within 2 % of target.
And a fine time was had by all .... jim

Thanks guys. I must confess I never look at any of that since my normal flight is less than an hour.
