Hello,
First, I hope I put this topic in the right section of the forums. If not, I very much apologize.
I have been having trouble with the great Golden Hawaii scenery - part of it is my fault!
After installing the scenery, I noticed it would cause my sim and my computer to freeze up completely - no responses at all (I had to pull the comp plug to reboot). I decided to uninstall and reinstall the scenery. However, I mistakenly just deleted the "ocen" folder and did not use the "Delete Scenery" option within MSFS. Doing this caused MSFS to look for the scenery and not find it. Any time I restarted MSFS I would get the error message that it could not find the Ocen folder.
I reinstalled the scenery, but no matter what I do, I am stuck with the Golden hawaii and all other airports are turned off. Even if I hit the "Original MS" scenery option in the "Golden_Hawaii" application!
What can I do to get the original scenery back? I am getting the error message "SCENERY.CFG error. Local scenery directory (Scenery\Ocen\SCENERY) in scenery Area.011 not found. Click OK to continue."
In fact, after I reinstalled the scenery, if I go to the Settings and Scenery Library in MSFS and hit "add scenery", it says the path already exists, but it does not show up displayed in the scenery list! Therefore I cannot fully delete or add?
Clicking OK lets me run MSFS fine, but with modern Hawaii turned off permanently. (?)
Any suggestions?
Mike
