I have really been enjoying flying the Zeps. I just finished Hal Dicks extraordinary book about his experiences as an American working with the Zeppelin company in Germany. What an adventure and his book is filled with "Wow, I didnt know that!" moments. I highly recomend his book to anyone with an interest in rigid airships. I am going to start the Eckener book while on vacation next week.
Now the question for Bill: In the exterior view of the LZ127 in flight, if you swing around to the front and then zoom all the way in to the control car there is a face smiling back at you. Who's that? The Big Head? Harold Dick? Bill? Tom? Inquiring minds want to know!
