I understand that this is a problem that has occurred before, but I can't find the solution by searching the forums (apparently I don't know the right words to search for).
But I really need help fairly quickly. Even though the GH.exe file shows I'm in Active MS and not GH "time," I still have only vintage scenery and airports everywhere in Hawaii. I want my current-time airports back! I'm about at the point of having to uninstall FS9 and reinstalling all over again to get RID of GH -- and this would be a MAJOR pain with all the add-ons I would also have to reinstall, not to mention my added aircraft and repaints.
Can someone please tell me how to get my Hawaii scenery back to present day? If you can just send me a link to where the solution is, that would be fine too. But my frustration level right now is sky high.
Thanks.

Hi Kelly, In your previous posts you could switch back between time frames but had a problem with engine starting. So what's changed now that time frames have become fixed in the vintage era?

Roger,
Jimlost here sent me a new aircraft cfg file for the Sikorsky that I substituted for the one I had and now the engines will start. But the scenery problem was occurring randomly during the previous problem. Now the scenery problem is constant. I don't see how changing the a/c cfg file would alter the scenery, which was already messed up -- I was just embarrassed to post two problems at the same time.
I've about given up on GH due to these problems. But I don't know how to get rid of GH and get back to my original program Hawaii scenery without a complete uninstall and reinstall. If someone can tell me how to get rid of GH so I have my current-time Hawaii scenery back, that's fine. I'd like to have GH but not if it messes up everything else having to do with Hawaii.
Sorry to be so dumb about all this. I'm sure it's my fault for doing something wrong and therefore I may have to "pay the piper" and do a complete uninstall/reinstall. I was just hoping someone had dealt with this problem in the past and could help me.

Kelly- Make a dummy folder (call it FS25 or something) and install Golden Hawaii into it. That will show you all the files and their locations so you can go into FS9 and delete them. Most of the scenery files causing both scenerys to show will be located in scenery\OCEN\scenery. Patience and good luck

Commander Cody,
Thanks for that suggestion. I did it very carefully and precisely, I thought, then rebooted and let the scenery library build again -- and it still didn't solve the problem. When I go to the Princeville or Lihue airport on Kauai, for example, I still have no airport. The a/c is just sitting on grass among the trees.
So obviously I missed something.
So back to Plan A (uninstall/reinstall) unless someone comes up with a Plan C . . . .

Well, it's done -- the uninstall and reinstall -- and everything is fine. I don't know the logistics of how it worked, but all my add-ons of scenery, aircraft and repaints are all still in place and working. Golden Hawaii is still there -- BUT, I assume, unexecuted, so I'm not even going there to try to use it. I'll make a second installation for it.
So this issue is resolved. If the moderator wants to delete this entire posting, that's fine. I appreciate the time taken by those who responded in an effort to help me.
