If it gets some traffic we'll keep or expand subjects, if it gathers too much dust, we'll make it go away.

Good man Tom! ;D There are some very clever people visiting these boards so I hope that this forum takes it's rightful place at the Old Hangar. As my only slight talent is to encourage folks...I'm encouraging you now to use the new forum ;D

what about an Old Hangar community project? All open source and above ground, like the good o' days.
what would we build?.......

Hi Tom..... Great idea partner. I've been "tinkering" with painting for about a year now.... but as everything else I've been fumbling along. Just over the weekend Cbris posted a comment that has saved me time already for painting...... simple actually..... I was just too dumb to even think about it. (smile)
Anyway... for my two cents worth I think this is a wonderful idea.
Best wishes, Steve R.

A "Paint and bake" thread? I'm in!
OK, some of you may like my "efforts" with the Eagle already (thanks), but I don't think I'm anywhere near ready yet.
My main need is more knowledge! There are some lovely planes out there that absolutely "NEED" a new skin, but no paint kit is provided...
My next phase of learning is to learn how to make my own paint kit from scratch. Everything from rivet heads through dirt and wear to dynamic shine... (or even matt)
Count me in!

Weeellll, I do have some original drawings and the makers ops handbook for a fairly recent sports plane... Let me just photobucket... Just take a look at this fantastic field of view! I have a few detail photos to add as well. I am just not up to building yet... What would make this model interesting? 22 built some twenty years back. 15 still flying. The one in the pic is the makers' own. Fantastic view. Four seater. I also have plans for a never built twin shrouded fan sister to this one...

Tom- As a novice, my first project, after learning how fly these aircraft proficiently, will be to create an airport with a flightline where I can have a static display of my favorite aircraft and then use active camera to do a walk-a-round of all of them. Can you sugguest some tutorials that would help me acquire the nessessary skills to acomplish this? Thanks Don
