Now, do not know if it will be of any help and bring some news, but there should be actually another colour profile of Bullard SPAD by an aviation artist Bob Pearson.
Bob is a splendid author of colour profiles, he publishes his works in Windsock magazine and some time ago he produced a CD full of various WW1 aircraft profiles, including the Bullard´s SPAD.
Do not know, if the CD is still available at all, but I know him from my times at ww1 modelers list an will contact him.
BTW the CD was a real gem for any ww1 enthusiast.

Michal Bob's name was one of, if not the first name I came across in this search. It seems he is no longer in business. Most of the links on his site, Internet Modeler dot com are broken and two attemts to contact him by email have been bounced back... The CD is advertised on the site for $40 and there is a snail mail address to send the order to. Though without a vaild email to contact him, and the condition the site is in not very willing on my part at this time to partwith the $40. The CD does sound like a "must have" though. Just sent another email, maybe third times the charm...

Should be able to have a better look at the logos.
The third time was a charm and the email made it through to Bob Pearson. He stated that he had sent Michal (which I believe would be our Elephant??) a larger res picture. Bob stated "He just stated he sent a picture to Michal, in a very similar request" to my request -I requested the picture for a MSFS model.

I think the whole thing reads as...
Tout le Sang qui coule est rouge

I like the sentiment. I suppose an idiomatic translation would be... "anyone's blood when spilt, runs red"
The clear message being whatever the colour of your skin the blood flowing in your veins runs red. For a black American in 1917 these words fell on deaf ears for another 50 or 60 years.
