First steps in AI Traffic. Trying to have an airship cruising above my scenery... I tried the "Shenai" (AI-Shenandoah) from the LZ127-Package, but it would not appear in the sim. If I choose a conventional A/C, it´s okay, otherwise not. What´s the trick?

Use the biggest one you can find (Mil Cargo???) and then experiment with the size. I had to enlarge it for the Goodyear Blimp so you will need to go larger still. And be sure no other traffic is parked within 1 diameter of the taxi path the Shenandoah will follow

Oops - *lol* Thanks, Tom, okay, that´ll be the clue. What I am trying is nonsense anyway - I try to let this go between Wrangell (PAWG) and Ketchikan (PAKT) and of course, both places are way too small for a big rigid. Just wanted to see it appearing in the clouds and follow it through the misty fjords. Bill Lyons´Stinson-and-Pietenpol-Pack offers a flight to escort the Shenandoah, but I finally didn´t like it because the airship dissappeares after a very short while to repeat it´s waypath. This one doesn´t seem to need any airport. (?) Is there any other way to have this flight scheduled? I have not changed any (parking)-scenery yet and it already took me a day to understand about AI. You know, I am just the "average user" and that is why I already initiated the ORA-AI-discussion around Mick Morrissey...

You can create dummy airports for the airships and arrange them so they fly over the area you want.
The Shenandoah in the Stinson pack is not AI, but an animation so it can't be moved anywhere and that is why it just disappears without landing. The first use of actual AI in one of Bill's packs was the Golden Hawaii pack. That still has an animation for the Zero and the Sub. The Goose pack was the first where all aircraft were AI.
If you install the Goose pack and use Ttools to decompile the Traffic_KW.bgl you will be able to study how I did some blimp traffic. All of the necessary AFCADs will be there too

You can also just make it do touch and gos at one airport and it still looks pretty cool. I did that at a couple of the sceneries in the 1930's mail route package.

Yup,. the blimp in the Golden Hawaii Pack does T&Gs at Ford Island. Also for a "drive by" if you have the Goose installed, park at Long Beach around 8 in the morning and you should see a blimp pass roughly north to south.

Traffic_KW.bgl ... here we go. I will study that. Yup, you´re the GenialHost! Wonder what will come out to let it do touch-and-go´s. Might need a lot of space, too :-))
