Not everything that flies is cared for - unfortunately. I was sent a couple of photos of this - er - wreck. One of them shows her flying, so my next paint is a serious challenge on my ethics and morals as an aircraft engineer... A grotty plane!

Looking forward development; this sort of stuff is a real challenge for an artist.

Not everything that flies is cared for Yes - I suppose that is a correct statment...... however, to become a subject for the artist talents of CBris...... she has lived a most blessed life! (smile) Great work as always partner!

She's more or less finished. As this is a freestyle paint, which is loosely based on photos I have available. Not that loosely though - the aircraft type should be an A5, I have added some graffiti and the colours aren't perfectly matched, but she's fairly close. I believe she's wearing a red nose now, and the engine cowlings are shinier and cleaner.... In the photos it certainly looks like the real thing has been put together with parts from various planes. Also there are various layers of paint and dirt on her too. The "brown" on the wings, tailplane and rear fuselage are supposed to be dust and general dirt. The wings had been stored upright, hence the "odd" direction. Some patches of the paintwork look like someone has stripped a couple of layers of paint off (down to a blue layer so that the lettering could be applied?). At a guess, I'd say this may have started out being sold to a non-German military organisation (which uses a brown/olive drab camo scheme). Then she was given a dark blue paint and subsequently repainted in German HEER colours with a civilian registration. I may upload this later...

Looks really great as always. I'm hoping with my new computer in a few weeks I can finally start enjoying this aircraft as it was meant to be flown.
Best wishes,
