Hi Yall ;D I want to do a repaint for the def. Cessna 172. Thats easy enough to do, but is there a way to put the lettering on the fuselage without the lettering being backwards on the other side? Thanks Kenny

Unfortunaltely...no. It can't be done because the fuselage is "mirrored", so what you see on one side is inverted in the other.
It is one of those usual nightmares for repainters...

Don't bother painting the lettering on default planes - set the aircraft registration by using the MS built in methods, i.e. type it in to the aircraft.cfg file... or in FS9 "select aircraft" page and change the aircraft registration there.
FS9 then places the numbers onto the aircraft.
Not totally satisfactory and you only get the numbers in the FS default positions.
Some of the default planes have a small bit of the texture with the number/text reversed - the DH Comet is one example, so there you could add the "mirrored" bits if needed.
Microsoft's thinking was to save file space and FPS - an idea that works, but you are stuffed if you want to do something different to the default planes. Unfortunately we painters can't "play" with the master 3D files to reprogram things like that. If you want to change that kind of detail on a paint, you need to know the original developer.
