Hey Bruce here are some pics of what I've done so far on the F-28 Fokker. Repainting the nose was quite an adventure, also check out the logo and let me know if it looks alright and the colors too. Ignore the colored rectangles on the various parts of the plane, I do that before a repaint so I can identify where all the parts are. Also check pic 4. What is that just below and behind the engine? One more thing, was the name of the airline printed on both sides of the fuselage? jogger

Jogger, Aaah! Looking good! The green and red look fine. The grey on the underside of the fuselage is a shade or two darker than it should be. It's closer to a natural aluminium grey that's aged a year or two,....rather more like the colour on the upper side of the port wing of the aircraft in your signature! The airline name is repeated on the other side of the fueselage, yes. I don't know what that thing is on the rear fuselage. It's either a texture that's meant to represent a vent or exhaust or something like that (APU??) or is an anomaly in the model. I haven't forgotten those other liveries.......I'll get the images up for you this week. Cheers! Bruce

Bruce, per the picture below. And are the tops and the bottoms of the wings aluminum? jogger

Jogger, My error....I was thinking of the East-West livery, which has a light grey! No....the fuselage underside is painted grey, not natural al. But it's a pure dark grey....like a battleship grey: the colour that you have shown appears to have a brownish tinge. The rest of the wings are natural aluminium.......just like your signature aircraft. Sorry for the mix-up. Regards, Bruce

Looking good! it's a nice plane. is it Project Fokker's new model? does it has a vc already?
About that grey: it's very curious how those grey colours seems to fade brownish with the time. I saw that effect in the Bac1-11s I've painted recently, and the pics clearly shows that "strange" colour too. But I think the original grey could be the typical aircraft grey (R: 170; G:178; B:176) turning to a pure Light Grey (R: 182;G: 181; B:176) or similar. Something in the middle may be a good compromise.

Yes, it is from PF: fokker.avsim.net/F28.htmNo vc, but it has a primo 2d cockpit, similar to PF's Fokker 70/100, or David Maltby's pre-vc BAC 1-11. Very nice model!

I tried to match the color from the picture Bruce posted and I thought I came pretty close to it. However I will try a combinations of the RGB colors you mentioned above and then post another picture and see if it is what Bruce is looking for. Thanks. jogger
