Nice site there! glad you like it; check your email inbox. Jens does awesome planes, and no dounts the Empire is one of the nicest "boats" out there.

Absolutely excellent metal textures, Damian! I downloaded Jens' plane as soon as I saw them and now searching for some good sounds for those Bristol Pegasus XC 9-cylinder radials - it isn't going to be easy, I can see that already. Bruce, your flight looks great - in fact, it should coincide perfectly with the other flight I'm pursuing in the 150 from England to Africa - shoot, I'll just turn around and fly back to England in the S.23 - now that's a ' round' trip! ;D Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Very nice! I've been trying to work on a better aluminum for it myself. How'd you do it? Looks great.
The Empire is one of my favorites.

I downloaded Jens' plane as soon as I saw them and now searching for some good sounds for those Bristol Pegasus XC 9-cylinder radials - it isn't going to be easy, I can see that already. Dan, when you find them, would you please let us know? Bruce, your flight looks great - in fact, it should coincide perfectly with the other flight I'm pursuing in the 150 from England to Africa - shoot, I'll just turn around and fly back to England in the S.23 - now that's a ' round' trip! ;D Now, there's a great idea! I have another iron in the fire as well as the Cobham and IA 109 flights. In 1934 two young English blokes flew an old Brisfit from London (Witney) to Baghdad via Europe and Turkey and returned via Egypt, North Africa and Italy. The passenger wrote and published a book about the trip but only very few copies were printed. Sadly, the pilot, who joined the RAF, was killed in a car crash prior to WW2. This one will be packaged in the conventional format and uploaded. Regards, Bruce

I'd be more then happy to, Bruce! There were a number of planes that used those engines and/or varients thereof back then, i.e., Wellington 1, 1a, 1c, & Wimpey, Handley Page HP.5, the Hampden, etc., but the biggest problem in the Flight Sim environment, as you know, is finding, not only the right combination (2 engines v 4), but sounds that sound good and compatible with FS 2002/2004 and match the plane there for. I've found some for FS '98 that won't work and others that are configured wrong or sound like a cessna with 4 big props. I know I looked for sounds for the Sunderland, which also used the Pegasus radials and I believe I ended up with some B-24 sounds that 'fit' or at least sounded 'right' for that four engine configuration and in all phases of flight. In the end, I'd rather have a good sound that feels right, then sounds that are technically correct, but sound terrible, especially for long flights. I will let you know what I can find and either where to download or send the files to you directly to see which ones you like and want to use. The flight you mentioned above also sounds interesting! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Thanks, Dan. I agree...sounds have to sound right but not become tiresome. And no distortion, looping or static. Hard to meet all that but, once found, it's like finding the sweet spot on a driver and hitting that little dimpled ball out of sight. Bruce

You guys do good work. Bruce, the story is excellent. A "masterful merging of media". And Damian's new paint should be in an art museum. The attention to detail is awesome. Even the weathering on the reg letters perfectly matches the skin, an often neglected touch, but one that really adds to the immersion factor. Thank you both!
