I have noticed that most people I meet online live in the East. I guess it's because the East was settled first, so naturally there are more people out East. I am curious towards the percentage of people here that live back East, I live in California though. Guess we could consider this a little ed-you-cay-chin

So my theory has always been that the ones who couldn't get along with others are the ones who went west, and then, as the west coast filled up, moved inland. Hmmm. Let's see, my people came to America before the revolution, moved to California before the gold rush, and now I'm in Nevada ....
Stupid theory, really.

Hello, Jim, A most interesting theory, self-corroborated, I suspect: It probably explains why I was born in Cleveland, went to undergraduate school in Massachusetts, lived for a while in the Caribbean but ended up here in California. The last part of your hypothesis is confirmed by the fact that I live about 7 miles inland.... All in good fun. Dennis S

Interesting indeed. I live in Maine and that's Down East as far as you can go Years ago I lived in San Francisco and people there considered Nevada to be "back East."

Yes interesting indeed. But anyways, Nevada is cool, I have only been there 4 times, but I have been 5 mintues from the border about 18 times. ;D And Maine, sounds cool too. I wouldn't mind to take a vacation there by the sounds of it

Maine and Hawaii are the only two states I haven't hit. Hawaii's out till they get the bridge done, but I fully intend to get to Maine next summer if not this summer. Except for Cabot Cove. Too violent.

Hey how is it over in Hawaii? Your storms came right on over to us in the L.A. Basin, but such a dry place like this needs rain once and awhile Now, by looking at the poll it seems the West is in the lead! I certainly was not expecting that!

I'm not overseas, it's all you foreigners who are overseas;D ;D Hmm, not sure where Manchester comes in because I dont even know where that is! With a quick search for Manchester on Google Maps, I find you are near the U.K., so couldn't that be an option? Ah I think there is a joke hidden in your message and I am taking it literally lol

Well, that vote just put Eastern even with Western. Atlanta here, even though I was born and raised in Colorado. Colorado is still great to visit and fly around in, but I like the weather temperament of Atlanta - you get all four seasons, but without the extremes - -

I live in Arizona, near the middle, where the weather seems very different every day. Had snow on Saturday but today was warm with no sign left of snow that fell for nearly 24 hours. ;D
