Well, I have met the woman I am going to marry (we have set the date for July 10th).
Her name is Lynnette.
Funny how we met...she does respite care for senior citizens, and one of the women that she takes care of has a bit of an annoying habit of introducing Lynne to any man that she sees (when she's not doing that, she makes herself vomit to get attention). We exchanged e-mails, etc. And well, things progressed.
So, I'm moving this weekend (to Cadillac...about 45 min south.)
She doesn't have Cable or DSL (yet), so it may be a bit before I'm posting again regularly, and annoying you all er...I mean, contributing to this forum!
Thing is, she thinks my interest in Aviation is cool! In fact, she convinced me to plan a trip to OshKosh this summer for EAA 2006!
So there you have it...wild man JordonJ is about to get Married.

Congratulations Jordon! Glad to hear it and that she enjoys you enjoying aviation.
Your mention of that brought back a memory or two. My bride and I married while both in the Air Force - 36 years this July. My interest in aviation was about what it is now - intense, but back then we parked and 'watched' airplanes next to a runway - now I park and 'fly' airplanes - on a TV screen.
I'll never forget her comment once, that she thought I loved airplanes more then her (wasn't true) and now, every once in awhile, I'll see this little twinkle in her eye as I sit flying around the world and know what she is thinking, but she knows what I enjoy and leaves it at that - and that, I must say, is an important component in any lasting relationship - goes both ways.
The best to you both and look forward to your return!
Dan

Congrats Jordan. ~S!~ You are one lucky man. You lucky sod, a woman the has the same interest..... aviation. Does she have an older sister with the same interests? Just kidding, the Warden would kill me if she saw that. LOL Yes... my wife has no interest in aviation anything, and thinks all this pc stuff with aviation is just pain dumb. And that's why I can't wait for June 2nd thru 4th, www.maam.org.... a vacation from her for 3 days with the hobby I love. Now you understand why not all marrages are not made in heaven. If they don't share the same interest, you're flying alone.

Whoooooaaaaaa, there, Hoss. When is she gonna get Cable or DSL? Everyone knows you can't build a lasting relationship around a 56K connection in a fiber optic world. Just kidding. Best wishes to both of you, and congratulations!
