Wow, I would never do something like that. I sort of found this part funny: Is that supposed to give them a general reference on which way to land or what? Well, no matter how frequent trans-Pacific flights are made, I sure won't fly on one, in a GA plane that is.

In the interview aired on the TV news here, that's exactly what the CG and pilot mentioned......it gave them the wind direction and equally important it gave them some idea of the size and state of the sea-swell. Bruce.
