That's right, antiques galore! At the Roseburg Airshow in Oregon, that is. I went there today after seeing a commercial for it on TV, an airshow going on in the same town as the town you are in for vacation? Great luck there! ;D The airplanes that are attending are: AT-6 Texan B-25 Mitchell C-45 Twin Beech Hawker Sea Fury L-19 Bird Dog P-51 Mustang PT-17 Stearman........MUCH MUCH more! www.roseburgairshow.comI also saw a Citation CJ1, plenty of King Air 200s, and a C152 doing a nice and slow fly over (Probably full speed to him though LOL) A FedEx pilot had to show off his Caravan, grabbed a couple of people's attention including me. Check out some pictures I took, oh yah I also got videos, should be up at FL350 sooner or later. img301.imageshack.us/img301/1043/airshow121kp.jpg[/img]
It was one wild airshow, first one I have ever been to, and a small one at that. [glow=red,2,300]PS[/glow] I am going again tomorrow, so if anyone wants a certain shot of an antique I can get it for them. You may want it for designing the airplane. Go to www.roseburgairshow.com/Warbirds.html to see if one of your airplanes are there.

Thanks. I will try to get some pics of the Sea Fury, with its wings up and in flight! I got some videos yesterday of it, but no pics. They said it's the only running original Sea Fury in the world Most others have non-orig engines.

If you are able, some shots of that P 64 would be grand

Well I am truly sorry to tell you this, but I did not get a chance to go to the airshow again today. Sorry if I had any of your hopes up, things popped up and we just couldn't go. I can upload the pictures I did take yesterday to my PhotoBucket later on, which include: L-19 Bird Dog P-51/ P-51H Beech Staggerwing Piper Cub (I happened to see a Super Cub also, nice surprise..no pic though) FedEx C206 CargoMaster Stearman Biplane 80 Le Rhone Bristol Scout D (Biplane) And another biplane that I have no clue what type it is Cessna Centurion (Excited to see that, flew there in the Cent in FS) DHC2 Beaver Got plenty of fast fly-over videos and all too. Once again, that list was for the pictures I did take. Sorry to those who didn't receive the ones I sort of promised.

I took a quick flight over Roseburg this morning before the crowds arrived and it all looked pretty quiet....until I blasted by at 500 feet, of course! Bruce

That's in GW right? The airport layout looks pretty much correct! Only runway 16 has a longer displaced threshold. If you really want to get the feeling of being in the airshow, get a Mooney, P-51, Beech Staggerwing, DHC2 Beaver, or a Stearman and do some fly bys. They came down going super fast and would fly down the runway to the end and there is a big hill at the end of the runway, yikes. I cna tell you from looking out my window here, it is clear with a few stratus clouds. Some giant thunderheads coming in pretty far out North East of the airport. Happy flying (PS, I was standing by the second taxi-way exit from the runway 24, which is the active runway;))

BD-5J, Damian. There's a pack available (flight-sim, avsim) that contains three versions; the -5B, -5D and -5J. The first two are prop-driven (pusher), one having a larger wingspan than the other.
Coincidentally, there was a -5J here in Canberra yesterday as part of a display.
They are tiny[/i]!
