I picked it up this morning. I will fly it later tonight or this weekend. But YEA... I say the price just before I hit the purchase button. It was originally $29 US and it jumped up a bunch in the last year. I guess all the "overtime" getting it ready pushed up the price.

I would say the VC quality is worth every dollar spent!

I would say the VC quality is worth every dollar spent! Well, the Cabin is good but the VC panel and lighting leaves a bit to be desired. I was a bit let down because the quality looked so goon in the promo shots.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I thought it looked great in the promo photos as well - but seems something has happened along the way. I think I'll hold off getting it for awhile and see how it unfolds in the various forums, reviews, etc. Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue!

Dan,
Don't get me wrong... it's OK. I think a bit overpriced though. I just don't like the fact that the plane is spread out over 4 folders in the FS9 root and the GPS data is over 100mb while the T2000 is an old GPS. I also dont see why the plane has to have the "pauses or stutters" in it... I never get those ever but I get them with this plane.

I know - regarding the price. Even with that though, if your getting stutters on your system - mine will be 'pause'ers'. That's what the KingAir would do (stutter) until I removed the GPS. Seems if I do get the Cheyenne - I'll have to perform surgery on it as well and remove the GPS and any other fps draining instrument. Oh well - - Thanks for the input - at least I know what I'll be getting into. Kinda figured it would be like this - Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue!

I am working on replacing the GPS now. It is "built-in" sort of but I am making good progress. I have most of the studders gone (I think.) I will keep you up to date. EDIT: OK, it seems that most GPS wont work in this plane because of two things... the default navdata (I think the T2000 GPS is somehow tied into the entire gauge system) and the fact that the VC is modeled with knobs on all avionics so placing another GPS is almost impossible. HOWEVER, I removed the T2000 and placed my EFB in there and it seems to work so far. I will check tomorrow for performance issues.

So now you have useless knobs poking out of the panel? ;D Better than having killed framerates I guess!

Especially since I just bought the plane and downloading now. Hell, I couldn't wait any longer - like a kid in a hobby shop - - ;D Your idea sounds like an excellent solution. I'll be looking for the results - hopefully performance will be good. Thanks Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D ;D

Well, he plane is modeled after an 1981 model so I will pretend the GPS is broken after 25 years of use and I am using the EFB (which has a fullt functional GPS in it anyway) in its place. This is the only way I can justify not kicking myself in the rear for buying this one. If I can just get the performance up (FPS I mean) then I will be OK with it. It's fast for sure but with an 800 mile range it is not for long hauls and the King Air is still by far the better of the two. This one has one reallt good quality though... the engine sounds are awesome. The Cheyenne has a very unique sound and they nailed the sounds very nicely.

I had been waiting for this one too, but the price increase plus what I've read here has given me second thoughts. I have no wish to shell out that much for a plane that may run poorly on my system. There are a couple of other planes out there that I've had my eye on, I think I'll just wait a while and see how things develop with the Cheyenne. I wonder why the download version is 10USD more than the CD version will be? That's kind of strange. It's usually the other way around.
