A couple of weeks ago I replaced my old video card with an Nvidia 6800 GS and also installed the latest drivers. The settings for my old card's drivers were quite simple but with this new card and drivers I don't know what most of this stuff is suppose to do. I was hoping that those of you who have Nvidia cards might be able to give me some advise on what options to use. Thanks. Dell Diminsion 4550 P4 2.53 1g memory 6800 GS 256m

Well John, I updated my Nvidia drivers (91.47) and now I can only get an acceptable picture with 'application controlled' checked and Fs9 checked for anti-aliasing etc. Now the quality is fine so I'm leaving the new drivers on for now.

Temporal Anti Aliasing should be checked, or choose highest setting. Anistrophic filtering should be High Quality AF and 16x highest.
Try to set the settings as high as you would want them in the simulator, but set them like that in the control center/driver. Then, you can still have high settings on FS and get double the appearance, but there might be some performance loss, though I haven't experienced any with my ATI card.

LJ, clicv "View" in the menu bar at the top then choose "Use Classic NVIDIA Control Panel" Download this and merge it. www.ascendant-online.net/en/downloads/windows/video/coolbits_forceware.regIt will expose the clocks for overclocking and you can turn of or on video overlay depending on your preference. (the card should oc from 5 to 20 percent with little risk of damage) I run my 7800GT at 4x and 8x respectively. The GS version of the 6800 series is a bit slower than the GT or Ultra versions so you might want to run 2X AA and 4X AF on that particular card) Cheers Shad

Hi Roger!,well I tried it your way.It worked for me.Was having difficulty getting an image in the pre-view window. A setting of 4,caused me a problem.Used the driver-cleaners to uninstall. Installation OK. Good driver, all seems visually well. And easy!Thanx!! Vin
