Hi Tom, It looks like there's a problem with the startup flight. Can you try a different flight?

OK, I think I know what the problem is. The new install is looking for the flight you use to start up your regular FS9 install. In the FS9 and FSGW.cfg, there is a line that will look like this: SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\Tom Constantine\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\Cub in Bangor Yours will be different of course, but if you can edit the last part to say Golden Wings DC3 Nice Day it should start up for you

I have a few more ideas, Tom. Did you rename the new FS9.exe to FSGW.exe? And did you leave the default c172 folder in the FSGW aircraft folder?

Yes to fs9.exe FSGW and no c172 . OK, first, drag a copy of the c172 folder back into the FSGW aircraft folder and try it again. that might fix it.

OK, can you try this... Go to the folder where the FS9.cfg and FSGW.cfg are located and delete the FSGW.cfg, then try starting FSGW again

The same thing how do i start FSGE in safe mods ? I don't think you can start FSGW in safe mode. I have one more suggestion, then we may need to wait for Roger to get back. Try to go to the FSGW flights folder and there will be a number of folders in there. One should be named Golden Wings. Open that folder and try double clicking on one of those flights.

I'm out of ideas for the moment Tom. Perhaps when Roger comes back on he'll have an idea. Bill has the flu so he probably won't be on much today, but don't give up. we'll keep after it. Is your regular FS9 install working OK?
