Hi Folks,
First, many thanks are clearly due to Bill and all those who have contributed their talent and time producing this exciting new program. Also, many thanks to Tom for hosting this very useful forum.
My hard drive space is somewhat limited so I want to install FS9 without some components (such as HELP, LESIONS etc) which I don't need. Also, I'd like to eliminate certain areas where I don't normally fly.
Can you tell me what parts of FS9 are critical to GW3? If possible I'd like to limit the installed components for both FS9 installations.
Thanks again...
Howard

Hi, Me again. Just finished downloading the program and have read the install instructions.
I understand that I will be removing some components from the GW3 FS9 installation. But, I'd like to limit the components and areas in my "modern" FS9 as well.
Thanks... Howard

You can delete all the same extras from both. I know I will never look at the lessons again so they are gone. If you have mesh installed, you do not need it in both installs, you can just activate it in the new install's scenery library by pointing at its folder in the old install. Regarding places you don't plan to fly, you can do a custom install and leave those out completely. If you want to remove them from your default install, go into the scenery library and delete them there first, then you can delete the folders. Be aware that Golden Hawaii uses the OCEN scenery folder.
