Okay Kofi..... what am I doing wrong? (smile) I have FSGW installed on a second drive, however, when I try to install there (EMMA Field) at (G:\program files\Microsoft Games\Flightsim 9 I get an error message that states it cannot install as there is no flightsimulator installed there? (I did un-install first off my C: drive) Weird..... any suggestions off the top of your head? Had the same trouble with another GeoRender ....(5... I think) however, Wenatchee-Skykomish installed fine.... I'll have to think about this one. Just copy the stuff in your LAGO folder over - Then manually add it to your scenery

Did you rename FS9.exe to FSGW.exe?? Some installs will check for that and need to find it to install. If yes, just rename it back and install and Kofi's idea works too

Okay....Okay...... You know...... I never did claim to be the sharpest pencil in the pencil box......(smile)..... I figured it out..... foolish me..... hey..... it's late...... I had a hard day......... the sun was in my eyes.... (smile) Best wishes, Steve R. Sorry.... I didn't see page two...(refer to the statements above.... : What I did was just go to the settings and point to the scenery on the other drive...... framerates are still the same so that'll work until I decide to get rid of the original FS9.... then shouldn't be a problem. But thanks guys.... can't believe I made that so hard.

Ok I have tried Orcas Island as an addon without the install for it. I just made a folder and added the scenery file and the texture file to a folder called Orcas, I then added it , everything works fine. As a matter of fact it looks better? not as many outlying buildings I believe.

How do you install Ultimate Terrain while keeping the landclass justin did for GW?

Okay. First off, You will need to locate the FS Genesis Land Class file: FSGLC_US.bgl ( I actually have the purchased version of this and used it instead, the one with FSGW will work the same). Then, I went here to get the patch from Ultimate Terrain: www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=12504&PN=1I followed the directions in the patch file's enclosed directions .pdf file. ( I did the whole works including creating the seperate UTCITY/Scenery directory.) Now I tried to use the UT/FSGLC patch but it didn't work. I copied and used the patched files from my FS9 directory. (Shrug) I also disabled the UTCITY listing in the Scenery list in FSGW. UT-USA's cities are accurate for the modern era, but just too darn big for the Golden Age. FS Genesis' City Land Classes are lacking for FS9, however it works wonderfully for FSGW. The cities and towns are quite small. I have always liked FSGLC rural land classes. With this combination activated, FSGW looks great. Towns are tiny, MS default roads work in a strange way now. Hope that helps you, Denny.

There are many 3rd party addon sceneries that fit in GW. The only negative thing are the modern cars in some of them (Lago). I have been using excbuilder for quite some time with success for default FS9 issues, but I do not succeed in doing the same for addon sceneries, even giving the exclude files the highes priority in scenery.cfg. Has anyone a solution ? Thanks.
BTW if you use Travel Air Magic One in GW you might not like the modern digital cronometer. I disabled it in the panel.cfg with // in front of the line in [Window00] //gauge16=Extra-300!Timer,56,614,75,75 [Vcockpit06]: //gauge00=Extra-300!Timer, 0,128,128,128

Dumb question.....
I think that there will be no incompatibilities in bringing in all the turned-freeware aircraft (and scenery) that Lynn and Bill just released!
Thanks!
