Flying into Chicago, just east of Gary I saw this really strange structure... looks kinda like one of them "atomic power plants" they have in the sci-fi magazines! Speaking of Gary, is there any way to add fx to the factories so that they have smoke spewing out of their stacks? Bruce

Yes, in theory you can place smoke effects so they will be on top of the stacks. And the Nukes can be removed with an exclude file. Guess I better check Wiscassett

If you can find the texture file for the nuke plant, you can add a pure black alpha and it can not be seen!! However, you can still crash into it!!
I have done this with some trees in addon screnerys!!

I've never done scenery editing before - can you point me to a tutorial on this? I wonder if there's a way to replace the nuke object, so that wherever FS thinks there's a nuke it puts the replacement object instead? Of course that would require that FS be sensibly stuctured...

Use the excbuilderv2.zip program from AVSIM to do your excluding. There is a tutorial in I believe. Practice on the Nuke tower ;D There isn't anyway to swap the tower for something else. It's not autogen but regular scenery. Bill

Thanks, I'll see if I can figure this out over the weekend. I was afraid of that ... if it was straightforward, I expect you would have already done it! If I can make it work, do you want me to send the details so it can go into a future update?

If you learn how to make excludes and take out that tower please send me the exclude file and I'll put in in the first upgrade. That goes for AFCADS also. We're all depending on each other to keep the golden age constantlt improving

Now you see it... Now you don't... Using ExcBuilder was really quite easy!!! Bill and Tom, what's the best way to get the file to you? And which do you prefer, the bgl or the xml? Bruce

Thanks Bruce, hang onto it for now and we'll come up with a uniform method for sharing files. The bgl would be appropriate for sharing since anyone can just drop it in. If you also want to share the XML and some instructions, that would be good for other things along the line but not everyone would be into that.
