Before you close down FSGW3 make sure that the throttle is down to zero before you click to close down. Who knows it might work?

Henry- Are you using the CH Yoke? Lately I have had to cycle the levers before starting the engines to prevent this. I think it is because I start some flights in the VC

Tom.... you are SO right. I use MS Force Feedback but I use to have the same problem. I don't know if it will work for others but here is how I solved it.
1.) I started a flight in the "Default" Seattle flight. (Cessna 172) Saved it to the default startup flight.
2.) Closed FS and then Restarted again.
3.) I'm now setting on the runway in the default flight..... shut down engines, avionics etc.
4.) Opened up "Go To Airport" and entered in the airport of my choosing.
5.) I now saved the flight as "Stop" and made it my default
6.) Closed FS and restarted again.... and "Presto" everything is now fine.
Note: I do always try to stop for the day in the 2D panel and then save the flight as "Stop" and I'm always at the airport with the engines/equipment off.
Maybe it'll work for you.... then again... we are talking FS9 so who knows. (smile)
Best wishes, Steve R.

I have found this to be an issue even in the default install of FS9...if I don't close throttles before exiting the sim. If I forget to do this I just have to touch the throttle on my MS Sidewinder and all is good. It has become my habit to always move the throttles on startup.
