I was wondering why my Active Camera was not working in FSGW until I relized that I had forgotten to install the FS91 patch.
If in doubt, check the FSGW3.exe properties, version tab and it should read file version 9.1.0.40901 if you have FS91 patch installed.
To install it over the FSGW3 installation I did the following: 1. renamed Flight Simulator 9 to Flight Simulator 9OLD, 2. renamed FSGW to Flight Simulator 9, 3. renamed FSGW.exe to fs9.exe, 4. run the FS91 patch, 5. renamed Flight Simulator 9 back to FSGW3 6. renamed Flight Simulator 9OLD back to Flight Simulator 9. 7. run again the FSGW3 installation into a temp-folder 8. copied / moved the FSGW3-folders from the temp-folder into FSGW3, 9. renamed FS9.exe into FSGW.exe.
There is no need to touch the FS9.cfg.

Either I am going blind or getting old(er) or missing something. I see no version tab when i check the fs9 or fsgw properties. Meryl .exe files, that is.

Meryl, right click and then left click properties. Then select version.

I'd install it as it fixes a number of issues; the memory leak being the most serious. I don't know how the update.exe finds the Fs9.exe but I'd run it from inside the FSGW folder, having temporarily renamed it to Fs9.exe. If you have a modern install I'd temporarily rename it whilst running the update.

And if you run the patch you will need to re-install GW afterwards

Really? I didn't, will this cause me some problems Tom? Rog. If you installed FSGW before the patch, it is possuible that some of Bill's files were overwritten. To be sure you have all of FSGW you should reinstall it. You don't need to do all the steps, just re-run the install exe

OK, I get an error when I try to run the update , it says error 34. Help BigDog I have no idea what that is. You'll need to check the instructions from Microsoft. Did you rename fsgw.exe back to fs9.exe for the update and is it the original fs9.exe?
