Hi all.. Because my FS9 has become large and full of stuff, I tried to do a 2nd install. I did the usual renaming of cfg, main folder name etc. I did a second install to another drive/folder, renaming the exe and folders to FS92. I had to copy and paste the original fs9.cfg to make it work. Success or so I thought! All works fine, my original is perfect apart from the looong loading times that I always had. My second install works fine EXCEPT when I hit F10 for kneeboard or click on the panel kneeboard icon, I get a frozen black screen. This also happens when I select Lessons. I have done a few of these duplicate installs on other machines & all went well. Could it be a path install problem?
Any ideas?

Not sure what's going on there, but do you have some 3rd part software that requires the kneeboard? (some maps software use it, if I'm not wrong) and calls your original FS9 registry line to work.If you do, install it on the new install too. Also, do you have all the default planes in your second install? ( actually, only the C172 has to be there but it worth checking).

Yup. It is a complete second default install. I have a keyboard that has mapped keys but I swith off the remapping. All aircraft (plus added in aircraft) work except for kneeboard on all of them. These crashes also happen with a standard keyboard. Very odd indeed. From the main menu when I select lessons, I just get the normal options on the left & where the lessons & other info go in the middle of the screen it is just blank white & things freeze. I will check what I have with some maps software. I have installed & taken out so much that there could be something there. When I get my black screen freeze after hitting F10 or the k/board icon in the aircraft, I get a black screen with the tool bar still on top. I have to right click on the bottom task bar to close my second flight sim. Thanks for your prompt reply.
