Hiya Gang,
Well, as I expected, my new system wants me to conform to it instead of the other way around. But, I shall prevail!!!
I am getting use to the likes, and dislikes of my XP Pro x64, especially the three HDD thing. Someday I will figure out how to use RAID. Until then, I have three drives, and XP Pro x64 only likes x32 programs in the (x86) program folder of the C:\ drive, although I have some programs that run well on the other drives with the same folder name.
Needless to say, I had some difficulties getting FSGW, and FS9 to run on the same drives. Now that I have thought about it, what the heck was I thinking, who needs the modern FS9 anyway?.... ;D . Has anyone tried to install Civilization IV on an XP Pro x64 machine yet, the darn thing won't recognize my factory Disc1 for product ID after installation....
My network collasped on me this past week, and I had to go buy a new router. At least something has gone right. The new router is a real dream, and runs flawlessly, so far. So, I should get the files from my old machine transfered to the new machine this weekend. I hope I get FSGW running smoothly on the C:\ drive, and then I will be in business.
AirCoaster said he wanted me to help with the VA scenery if I could, but I am not so sure I will get time. The objects like hangars for each different Ohio airfield will need to be recreated, cause AirCoaster had lost all the Gmax, and/or model files for them over these few years, and I need to do a refresher course on Gmax to FS model files.
Anyway, that is my update for this week, sorry about the holdup, but things will come together soon. I am still not quite convinced about FSX, so FS9 is my fav.
