Here's a new book on Imperial Airways... It covers not only Imperial from 1919 to 1939, but also examines many of the smaller British airlines before 1939. Includes many maps, photos and fleet lists. I got mine from Historic Aviation ... (I haven't seen it anywhere else yet.) www.historicaviation.com/historicaviation/product_info.po?ID=11225&product=Books&category=civil&subcategory=Airlines"British Airways - The Imperial Years R. E. G. Davies. This book addresses the two-decade, between-the-wars history of the aircraft, the routes, the people, and the politics of Britain's pioneering airlines. You'll see every type of airplane flown, all the ancestor airlines of the British Overseas Airline Corporation (BOAC), and important episodes such as the stillborn attempt to establish airship service to India. A real jewel of a book. 108 pages, 140 B&W photographs, 67 maps, 33 color profiles, data tables and more. 11"x 8½", hardcover. #0010141 Price: $34.95" ...Lee Holmes

Thank you, Lee. This is one that I can add to my birthday present list. Bruce P.S. R.E.G. Davies is quite a prolific author or flight-related books. Do a search on Google and it pops up quite a few titles.
