Looks like a lot of details to fit in for that airplane. I never have started, and finished a modeling project yet so I couldn't really judge. Would be neat to have though.

I have one started, but I can't do the airfile so as to mimic the PT-22's abrupt stall/spin characteristics. The aircraft was well known for being a little tricky to handle, as I'm sure you're all aware. A PT-22 that flys like a J-3 would be a contradiction in terms, I'd think. I'll have to finish my OTW first, anyway, as I'm getting along on it.
I'll post a screen later.
Thanks, smyers

Thanks, smyers Hey thanks Steve I do know an airfile expert (Jerry Beckwith, creator of "Airwrench" and the 1% workbook) - Would you like me to ask for his assistance

Kofi, This is as far as I got before I realized that the airfile was beyond my ability. If it flys nice and easy, I'm OK, but this one is different. However...with some flight dynamics assistance, maybe we can pull it off. I know a real world pilot that may help me, too. Jerry Beckwith's input would be a great asset, as well. Let's see how my OTW goes. Many Thanks, Steven D. Myers

Looks like Steve has it covered. I know a guy who's helping with our Stearman config file, a real talent and a member of the Old Hangar. If your contact does not work let me know and I'll ASK HIM
Steve, is that model a FSDS2 or 3 source file?

Hi Paul (et al)
I'm on FSDS3 now and there's really no going back as FSDS3 will open the earlier files, but all your reflective textures will be lost when you use MakeMDL unless every reflective texture is re-named (*_T.bmp) and all those relevant parts are re-textured. All but impossible in many cases. In fact, that's what happened when I began texturing the PT-22 fuselage. I didn't understand the re-naming process and all the textures were transparent. Fortunately, I wasn't far along and could re-name and re-assign the reflective textures.
Best Steven D. Myers

Hey Steve, I just got a message back from Jerry Beckwith, he says he can do the flight dynamics, he'll just need a copy of the model......(mdl)
Thanks again!

Thank YOU, Kofi!
I didn't think the PT-22 would generate that much interest.
Best, smyers

The PT 22 is a "must have" for Golden Wings! Thanks Steve for taking it on!

If anyone ever has another go at this one could we maybe change the model just a touch? Rgds: Jeff
