Well I don't have a copy of the download so it is quite possible that there is a carry over from one package to the other, but don't be to hard on the "Snowman"! It is a wonder he got it as good as it s, as I send him sometimes two or three BGL's for one scenery, or as I make them and change them. We have never put together a package of this size before, just one at a time Mostly. As for the St. Louis to Chicago Mail run with stops in Springfield and Pioria I have taken it under my wing,so to speak and will add it in the near future, thanks for all the nice comments , so far they are all good anyway.lol....WillyB

Hi all, if you want to download the Air Mail scenery for GW3 in a single file it is available at the link below. It is a single 75.3 MB file that includes all of the individual zip files for the package. Thanks to Bill and Phil for creating this wonderful package! ;D Click Here!Regards, Terry VirtualPilot.net

Very nice package. I have a sort-of-newbie question. Once downloaded and installed how does one fly this? Just create-a-flight with the airport id (ie KOAK) and bash on to the next one? Or is there a list with instructions? Or just make it up as I go along. Perhaps someone could create a flights/wx file for this?
Probably a stupid question but I am a bit new to all this. GW3 is the most fun you can have with a computer! Thanks.

Thanks to Tom and Terry for the heads-up where to find this addon. I have downloaded it and shall install it this afternoon, as flying the mail routes was the whole point of my getting into FSGW3. As has been mentioned before, at www.airmailpioneers.org, under Flight Info, you can find maps and a copy of the Air Mail Service's Pilot Directions for the New York-San Francisco route, circa Feb, 1921. Before the advent of GW3, I flew the route in FS9 using the default Jenny until I reached Omaha, at which time I switched to Steve Myers' Fleet (better high altitude capability). When I get time, I'll fly the route eastbound in GW3 using Bill Lyons' Travel Air 4000. Any way you do it, though, it's a hoot. jim

Do want to mention if no one has already that in the downloads the add on scenery folder in GWMailRoute_4 repeats KOGA which is in GWMailRoute_3. I think the one in Route_4 is supposed to be KOMA. The AF2 in the scenery section of Route_4 is KOMA, but the add on scenery folder is KOGA. Yes, I've confirmed it. In route 4 it's supposed to be KOMA, which does have the right Afcad file, but it's nowhere to be found. Instead KOGA is bundled with it again. So, looks like we have two copies of KOGA, but no copy of KOMA. Can that be released separately? Thanks for all of your work!

Thanks for the scenery and thanks for breaking the file up for those of us stuck with dial up connections. Grabbing a file or two a night, I should have the whole thing in a few days to try out.

Hi all. I just got back into town and saw the posts here. It seems that I screwed up on package 4. Here is a spot where you can pick up just the KOMA.zip file for a few days. www.ktone.org/files/KOMA.zipIt's a little over 1MB. Just put it in the Addon Scenery folder and add it via the Scenery Library. Tom and Terry... please pick up this file and replace the duplicated KOGA in the #4 zip. Also, it has been brought to my attention that there is an extra texture folder in the KSLC\Texture folder. It can be deleted. Sorry about the errors.

I have updated the download at VirtualPilot.net so all downloads from this point on will have KOMA and not 2 KOGA's. Thanks for the fast fix! _________________________________________ Terry VirtualPilot.netEFFC-158 Cub 26

I am still installing some new files that I have not had a chance to look at, from the posts and screenshots GWMail is one I want to try. After noting the comments here I did some cross-checking of the files I found that the KOGA directory is duplicated on both the route3 and route4 zip files. The files in the scenery in both zips relates to Searle.bgl. As a result I do not think that renaming the KOGA directory from zip 4 to KOMA will function. It looks like a minor packing error that skipped the field occurred. All that is needed is a quick pack of the missing directory and an upload to the web. Thanks to Bill and Phil for all of the hard work involved.
