I just uploaded something to FlightSim and the OutHouse for devotees of vintage carrier aviation. It's meant for Golden Wings but works in FS9: thirty copies of Paul Clawson's CV-2 U.S.S. Lexington scattered around the virtual world.
They're spread from the Gulf of Alaska in the north to the Tasman Sea in the south, and all the way 'round the globe. The sun never sets on the Lady Lex!
Most of the locations are arbitrary, but a few are where they are for particular reasons.
One makes up half of an enhanced Carrier Division One off Montauk Point, Long Island, New York. It replaces my earlier CarDiv1, which used Paul's earlier, less detailed Lexington. The Saratoga's included, too, so anyone who has the original CarDiv1 can just delete it.
(This set does not include, replace or conflict with CarDiv2 off Cape Cod, which is the Virtual Navy's Task Force 16 with Enterprise and Hornet posing as Enterprise and Yorktown.)
One Lex is located just southeast of Midway, close enough to reconnoiter the battle in that newly released scenery, but not so close as to get in the way of the action.
Another one is off Nazca, Peru, so those who have Fern Marques' scenery of the giant Nazca line drawings can fly over and check them out.
There's one just south of Pearl Harbor, where it fits right into Golden Hawaii.
Those who have Bill Lyons' Classic Goose package will find a Lexington in the Marivellas, the fictional locale of the Cutter's Goose series, placed halfway between the secret Japanese bomber base to the north and the secret Japanese fighter base to the south. (Or is it the other way 'round?) If you equip Paul's SBC or TBD with the proper effects you can raid the Jap bases.
Of course there's a Lexington in the Coral Sea, the final resting place of the real Lady Lex.
The map shows where they all are:
