Be careful and watch your temperature! Otherwise your engine will quit while in the air!!!

Does anyone know how to read Russian? Or can tell me how to keep the engine running on this plane - seems to quit no matter what I do. It's a nice flying airplane - looks good in the air. I don't know how many fields and roads I've landed on in the past few days trying to figure it out - it even quit when I had it turned off!! Help! Dan ...it’s great being a kid again – without the glue!

You've got to watch the engine temp...don't let it get over 220*

Jordon, thanks - I read that in the thread here, but what I need to know is how does one keep the temperture below 220 - it even shut off with a reduce throttle - almost at idle - on a final approach the other day - bang - just shuts off - Dan

Cowls open? Try feathering back the prop (about 50%)...
This is a plane that doesn't like to go fast...maybe it was also made for winter weather...

Jordon - I believe your right with your second assumption - "made for winter weather". I flew it again late last night w/cowlings wide open - same thing - ended up in a WalMart parking lot!! I will try again later tonight and feather the prop and see what happens. Typically one would adjust the lean/rich mixtures to compensate for heat/cold - but can't find the adjustments on this plane - may not be any.
I may send the designer(s) a message on their site - this is becoming a challenge now! Dan
