The more I tweak the FSX demo and play around with it, the more I'm finding that sweet spot between detail and performance. Progress has been encouraging. Here I am flying Carenado's Cessna 182Q in the FSX demo. I was averaging around 20fps with pretty reasonable scenery settings. This isn't bad as long as flight is running fluidly. Though when I tested the same area with a Carenado Cessna in FS9, I was getting over 40fps with everything maxed. Flying the Cessna 182Q in the FSX demo;

Interesting...may be the "old" FS9 planes will behave well and have excellent fps?

not all but some FS9 a/c u will have to redo the gauges for the panel. I've tried a few and all show in the sim but a lot or all the gauges don't.

My Carenado Cessnas work great in the demo but I have had some problems with some other planes. I've decided to wait for the release before trying any more.

yepper those and Milton's AC520 and D18 work good too.
